We’ve been on the lookout for a kick-ass designer for some time, and last month we struck lucky. Here, we sit down with Beth to learn a little more about her and what makes her tick as a creative.
Tell us what you were doing before Fhoke
I’ve been quite lucky to know I have wanted to go into design since secondary school. So, once I got the opportunity to work at a design studio in Winchester as a receptionist straight out of college, I jumped at the chance. Within six months, this role turned into more of a junior designer role, working on bits and bobs the studio didn’t have the capacity for and growing in design responsibilities until I was officially moved into the studio as a designer a few months later.
Fast forward nearly seven years, and I’ve been learning on the job ever since, working my way up and improving my skills in brand, print and digital. It’s been a great way to build my career. Even though I didn’t attend university, I’ve had experiences working for many different clients and projects, giving me a great foundation for my design career.
What interested you in joining Fhoke?
I’ve known about the work Fhoke does for a few years and always admired the beautifully designed and built projects they put out. Learning from what they do (and hopefully add to it!) is a great opportunity, and I’m really excited to be part of such a talented team.
What skills and ideas are you looking forward to bringing to Fhoke?
My last role was at a branding agency, so hopefully, I’ll bring some of those skills to the Fhoke team to help bolster our brand offering. Assisting clients to create stronger brands from the outset can make their business more consistent and clear, so it would be great to help our clients achieve that on top of their gorgeous, smooth new web experiences.
Finally, what do you enjoy doing in your downtime?
I’m a big dog lover, so I spend a lot of time walking and cuddling our three pups! However, when I’m not spending time with my furry friends, I love bouldering at our local climbing gym, throwing pottery, gardening and playing video games.

Finding the right fit can take time. So, we’re always on the lookout for talented folk to join the team. As a design-led brand and development studio, we want to chat and hear from designers and developers. If that’s, you take a look at our careers page to see our current openings.
